1. Overview

PureClip is a minimalist clipboard history manager Chrome extension. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers.

2. Data Collection and Storage

2.1 What Data We Collect

PureClip only stores the following data locally on your device:

• Clipboard History: Text content you copy while browsing
• Timestamps: Time when each copy action occurred
• Source URLs: The webpage URL where the copy action occurred (if applicable)
• User Preferences: Settings like language preference (Lite version)
• Pro Activation Status: Whether Pro features are unlocked (Pro version only)

2.2 How We Store Data

• Lite Version: All data is stored in Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local), limited to 20 items
• Pro Version: Data is stored in browser's IndexedDB for unlimited history, all stored locally on your device
• No Cloud Sync: Data never leaves your device. No servers, no cloud storage, no third-party analytics

3. Permissions Explained

PureClip requires the following Chrome permissions to function:

3.1 No Host Permissions

PureClip does NOT request host_permissions. We use content scripts that only activate when you perform a copy action. The extension does not continuously monitor or access webpage content.

4. What We Don't Do

• ❌ We do not collect personal information

• ❌ We do not upload data to any server
• ❌ We do not use analytics or tracking services
• ❌ We do not share data with third parties
• ❌ We do not run background clipboard monitoring
• ❌ We do not inject ads or marketing content

5. Data Security

• All clipboard history is stored locally in your Chrome browser using secure storage APIs
• Data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the extension
• You can manually clear all history at any time using the "Clear All" button
• No network requests are made for clipboard data processing

6. Third-Party Services

Pro Version Payment Processing: If you purchase PureClip Pro, payment processing is handled by secure third-party payment providers (Stripe/Polar). We do not store your payment information. Please refer to their privacy policies:

7. Children's Privacy

PureClip does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. The extension does not collect any personal information from any user.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Your Rights
